STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

This Code of Conduct outlines what we expect from you to make the Adult Education Service a safe, secure and happy learning environment for everyone. Being a student of the Service is all about making the most of your time while you are here. Our staff are here to support and help you with all aspects of your development and learning. All students are expected to abide by the Adult Education Service regulations as follows:

Accept responsibility for your learning by making sure you attend classes regularly & punctually and by working on your skills between classes.

Inform the Centre or the Resource worker or your Tutor as soon as possible if you cannot attend class for any reason.

Behave in a respectful way towards all other students & staff. Any behaviour which is racially or sexually offensive, homophobic or offensive to those with disabilities will not be tolerated.

Be aware of our Health & Safety regulations and act at all times with regard to your own safety and that of others.

Share in keeping the Centre clean and tidy. Respect the equipment and property of the Centre and that of its staff, other students and visitors.

Abide by the Centre’s Internet Use Policy.

Ensure mobile phones are switched off during classes.

You must not attend the centre in possession of, or under the influence of, alcohol or illegal drugs.
